3 Elegant IKEA Hacks

Who doesn’t love a really good IKEA hack? We’ve rounded up some of our favourites. These are affordable, easy-to-do ways to turn your IKEA purchase into a one-of-a-kind piece.

1. VITTSJO Coffee Table

The VITTSJO coffee table is a simple round table that is perfect for smaller spaces because it’s on the smaller side and is not bulky. Olive Interiors did a hack of this popular table by painting it gold and ditching the base to create an even leaner look. The end result is an elegant piece that looks like it came from a high-end furniture retailer.

Well since we are talking VITTSJO, the VITTSJO bookcase also makes for an easy and delightful hack! This hack by House of Hawkes also painted the frame in gold and added paper on the top and bottom shelf for even more customization.

3. RAST Dresser

The RAST dresser from IKEA is super affordable and made of solid, unstained pine making it easy to paint over. In this hack featured in Good Housekeeping magazine, the RAST is painted in navy, and the top drawer is not put in, creating a less bulky look. A printed paper is placed in the background to create an even more unique look.
