A young child can make do just fine in a small room, so long as the room is well considered for storage opportunities and other creative solutions. We’ve rounded up some ideas for you to fully optimize your child’s smaller bedroom space.
1. Space saving bed
Go for a bed with clean lines and minimal bulk and frills if space is minimal in your little one’s room.
2. Play surfaces with storage
Find storage solutions that can also serve as play surfaces for your child to make use of every inch of space!
3. Think high for storage too
Create storage space in hard to reach areas and store away items that aren’t being used at the moment.
4. Pair down
We think kids need lots of books and toys, but not all at once! Circulate things between the bedroom and storage areas to keep more free space for play.
5. Use wall area for creative space
If there isn’t enough room for art space, think vertical. Use wall space for the little artist in your child. You can go with a blackboard or magnetic board to something less long term like long art paper.
